Things I’m Loving Right Now

‘Tis the Season for all things pink, hearts & love

Well, ‘tis the Season for all things love. From Valentine's Day Gift Guides, to the perfect gift, to crafts (no thank you), to decor (extra no thank you) - we basically have less than a week left before everything officially flips over to Easter mode. Same chocolate, different packaging. So instead of offering up the traditional things that might be landing in your inbox this week I thought I would highlight the things that I am leaning on and loving as of late. Some “oldies but goodies” - like an old reliable kind of thing, and some new - because well, it’s been a hell of a year and if buying a pair of bright pink shoes that you won’t be able to wear outside for months brings you joy - then buy them. At least that’s my mantra.

Leaning into the things you love, regardless of the season or occasion

But before we dive head first into all things I’m loving right now can we pause for second on all of the messaging, vibes and images that start to show up at this time of year? I mean do I love pink and hearts as much as the next Valentine’s Day enthusiast? Um yes. which is why I will happily up the ante around this time of year. But if all things pink and hearts aren’t you vibe - resist the urge to feel like you need to lean into them. Because here’s the thing: we all have this foundation of things that we love. Who we are at our core. And depending on the time of year, occasion or someone else might be really into - we tend to get swayed, and dare I say it even a little bit influenced. Inspiration and sparking something within you - that’s one thing. But getting pulled off course and away from what YOU really love and enjoy because it’s a trend or someone else said it was good doesn’t mean that you have to lean into it too.

So this is your reminder - that no matter what the season or occasion do, wear, say, hang out, decorate, eat, etc. in a way that fills you up. In a way that leaves you feeling good. Because filling yourself up with more things you love all year long is always going to yield a better outcome than conforming to a holiday that leads to increased chocolate sales.

Like always, I’m sharing MY favourite things. Because maybe they’ll spark something for you. Take what you need, leave behind what you don’t. Here are things I’m loving right now….

Shop the Things I’m Loving Right Now

  1. Puffer Jacket | First things first, it’s on sale. Which should never be the reason to buy something. The main reason you should buy something is when you love it AND it’s on sale. This puffer doesn’t even do itself justice online. It’s lightweight but keeps you oh so warm with probably the best collar I have ever seen on a winter jacket. It quickly became my favourite go-to this year.

  2. Pink Heels | All the SJP vibes without the price tag. Will these be shoes you wear everyday - hard no. But will they bring you joy when you do wear them on special occasions? hard yes.

  3. Love Ring | I adore this entire collection. By collection, I mean the ring and necklace. Simple but elegant and the price point is worthy of believing in gifts being exchanged on Valentine’s Day.

  4. Chocolate | I am a believer in going all in when it counts and chocolate is no exception. My fave chocolate treat of all time Sweet Georgia Browns from Purdy’s Chocolates just launched in a vegan option as well. Suggestion to buy the box, not the sleeve.

  5. Refresh | One of my all time favourite blends from Saje Wellness to the point I stockpile it out of fear they will discontinue it. Equal parts citrus and all things fresh blooms. Your house will smell like a clean slate even if it looks like a disaster.

  6. The Curling Iron | I say that because it’s the only one. Nothing works as well as this one does for me. My hair can go from zero to hero in under 10 minutes. And the fact it’s been restocked is cause for celebration.

  7. The Palette | As someone who has little to no expertise when it comes to makeup I rely heavily on products and expertise from Jamie from Refine because she’s curated what we need to make our makeup routine less complicated with an added bonus of knowing that it’s clean and healthy for your skin.

  8. Nespresso | I was that reluctant person. I was stuck in a habit of grabbing a coffee every morning in the drive thru and ignoring everyone singing their praises about how much they “loved and can’t live without their Nespresso”….and then we bought one. And I got what they were talking about. Reminder that sometimes there are better things out there if you are willing to let go of habits that may or may not be serving you.

  9. Donuts | Safe to say this isn’t just a “loving right now” phase but in fact a “love all of the time” kind of thing. So why is a donut landing here in the middle of a post that should be dedicated to you being able to click on a link and “buy” because I want this to be your reminder to go all in on the things that you love the most. The things, clothes, experiences, and people that fill you up and leave you feeling at your best. That make you smile. That make you happy. Life is meant to be lived fully - and not with guilt, regret, or overthinking. So what are the things that you LOVE. That you enjoy? That fill your cup? GO ALL IN on them. But if you are in the Burlington area - this is the donut stop of all donut stops. My favourite - Sunshine Doughnuts.

  10. Initial Necklace | You know those things that you hesitate to spend money on because of the price point but then you wear it everyday and it’s 5 years later and still one of your favourite things? That is this necklace for me. I wear it everyday and never take it off. It finally got restocked and I’m already thinking about buying a backup.

  11. Dress | I saw this online and was skeptical. I think we’ve all experienced a purchase that looks oh so good online but then arrives and is like “huh?”. Not the case with this beauty. It rivals the one from Aritzia at a fraction of the price.

  12. Lip Shimmer | Yep, shimmer. I mean, if that doesn’t give you all of the ‘80’s vibes I don’t know what does. But maybe that’s why I love it so much. Brings me back to my blue eye shadow and white eyeliner ways that was the ‘80’s. Why this is a regular go-to that I also stockpile out of fear of it being discontinued? Equal parts lip balm that soothes the lips while also adding a minimal amount of colour. I have dreams of working with Burts Bees to create the perfect everyday nude with a hint of pink. Stay tuned.

  13. Glasses | Who else wears glasses but hates having to spend a fortune on them? Just scooped up a new pair of glasses and sunglasses at Bonlook for under $250. Yep - crazy good deal. What I love about how this brand does business - they have a shape style for every shape of face and then each pair comes in multiple colour ways. So you’re guaranteed to find something you love and that works well for you. Like this look but don’t need glasses? Nordstrom has a great pair of blue light glasses.

  14. Reminder Bracelet | Mai Lin Jewelry’s signature bracelet was modelled after the ‘string around your finger’ something that you tie on to remind you of something important. The reminder bracelet ties on the wrist with a double knot and stays fastened for every adventure that life has to offer. This edition is an exclusive collaboration with Isla Pearl. Made with Rose Quartz, known as a healing crystal and the stone of unconditional love. This stone is believed to emit strong vibrations of love, support emotional and relationship healing, and inspire compassion. A singular Pearl bead is there to remind you of the beauty that exists within you.

  15. Boyfriend Joggers | But without the sloppy, lots of stretch, hug and hold and available in almost every colour. Challenge yourself to step away from your go-to like grey or black and swap it out for a brighter hue for Spring.

  16. Boyfriend Jeans | Much like the jogging pants, these give you the look without the sloppiness and uncomfortableness that typically come along with a pair of jeans. These will quickly become your go-to’s.

  17. Candle | So apparently I’ve become one of those people who loves candles. More specifically Nest Candles. Are they expensive? Yes. But are they toxic (ah hm Bath and Body Works)? No.

Thanks for choosing to be here, xo
