Ok – maybe 10 minutes!  But either way these Easter treats should come with a huge warning sign that says “delicious”.  You won’t be able to stop eating them, so if I were you (and you are like me) I highly recommend that you make these right before you about to serve them because otherwise you will be in an Easter treat coma right up until that bunny delivers the real goods this weekend!

Here are my kid-approved (and made) Easter treats.  From our kitchen to yours:

Egg Nests

  • 1 package of chow mien noodles
  • 1 cup of peanut butter (wow butter)
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butterscotch chips
  • Hershey Eggies

  1. Generously grease the wells of a muffin pan with the butter (this will help later when you are taking out the chilled nests).
  2. In a large microwave-proof bowl, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips for 1 minute or until thoroughly melted.
  3. Once melted, add the peanut butter to the chocolate/butterscotch mixture, mixing well until smooth and completely combined.
  4. Add the chow mein noodles and stir until completely coated.
  5. Use a spoon to put the mixture into the muffin tin.
  6. Add 3 Eggies to the top of each “nest”.
  7. Chill the nests until hardened, about 1 hour or so.
  8. Once chilled, gently remove the nests from the muffin tin with a butter knife.
